Three days riding the West Country with my brothers Ray and Dave in June 2017. Down through West Sussex and Dorset, along the Jurassic Coast to Devon, and back home via Exmoor — the kind of trip that takes shape on the road rather than on a map.
Dave insisted on stopping at Billy's on the Road, the biker cafe on the A29 near Billingshurst — a ritual that stretched to nearly three hours. We eventually pulled ourselves away and made Weymouth for the night, in time to walk the harbour as the light faded.
Day two followed the Jurassic Coast west: Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury, Bridport, then Lyme Regis before dropping into Devon. Torquay for the second night, where someone found a live music pub. Day three looped back north through Exmoor — coastal roads, then past Minehead and home.
